Registration for the online conference ÖffiCON*- Rethinking public transport will be open from February 10th onwards. Until then, you can sign up any time at www.oefficon.eu/en to stay up to date. Also, you can still respond to our Call for Participation and send in your suggestions for contributions, workshops and creative formats. We look forward to receiving your topic suggestions and submissions!
ÖffiCON* offers a wide variety of topics and approaches to discussing public transport, channelled into six main thematic strands: In Implementation and Politics, we will ask for political and planning levers to push forward the transportation transformation. In New Business Models we will discuss the opportunities that innovations open up for the transport system of the future, and who can create them. The strand Diversity&Involvement will focus on equality policies and questions of accessibility in the public transport system. Climate protection and the synergy of walking, cycling and public transport will be central to the thematic strand Environmental Effects. Which options already exist for financing a well-developed transportation network, which problems and questions arise in this context? The thematic strand New Financing Models is the core topic of host Einfach Einsteigen. Lastly, we will look at the role that culture + philosophy + art play for public transport and its transformation in the thematic strand with the same name.
All the different topics are connected by the question fundamental to this conference: How can we shape the future and financing of sustainable mobility after Covid-19?
